The Sounds of Martlesham

Tim has proposed that we build up a page of interesting sounds from the Martlesham area to complement the picture gallery. This seems like a great idea - what do you think? If you have some ideas of what might be included why not send us an e-mail using the Email Us link in the main menu.

Technical Note - these files may download in segments initially, meaning that you hear might long or short bursts of the recording. However, once the download is complete you should be able to listen to them normally by pressing the "play" button on your media player. The files are in MP3 format.

Nigtingales in Martlesham Heath

This is taken from a recording Tim made in 1999 on the cycle track leading from the end of Deben Avenue next to Gorselands school. There are 3 short clips. The first is of nightingales, in the second the foreground is a fox barking with the nightingales in the background, and in the 3rd clip you can also hear an excited German shepherd dog enjoying an evenings walk.

This sequence of clips is contained in a 2.8Mbyte file - please be patient while it downloads! Article Manager module by by George! Software.
